Kids Bed time stories

A selfish fox once invited a stork to dinner at his home and for a joke put nothing before her but some soup in a very shallow dish. The fox could easily lap this up, but the Stork could only wet the end of her long bill in it, and stayed hungry.

“I am sorry that the soup is not to your liking," said the fox with a sly smile.

"Oh, please do not apologize," said the Stork. "I hope you will return this visit, and come and dine with me too sometime." So a day was appointed when the Fox should visit the Stork.

Finally, when they were seated at the table, the Stork served them both some soup in a very long‑necked jar with a narrow mouth. The stork drank the soup easily but the fox could not insert his snout into the tall jar. This time it was the Fox’s turn to go hungry.

Say Truth Always

Jessi saw a stapler lying on her father's table. `next day, when her father asked her about the broken stapler, she confessed that it was broken by her. She picked it up and started playing with it. Jessi got scared and left the stapler on the table. As she didn't know how to do it, she broke it. One day, Jessi was alone at home. She tore the pages of an old book and started stapling them. When the staples got finished, she tried to refill the stapler. Her father praised her for telling the truth but also asked her not to fiddle with things, which she didn't know how to use Her parents had gone to attend a party.

Have faith in God

Once a teacher had a disciple who used to live in a hermitage. One day, the disciple was going somewhere. He hadn't gone too far when suddenly it started raining cats and dogs. He returned and told this problem to his teacher. The teacher said, "You should have faith in god. He will save you from all problems."

The disciple obeyed and resumed his journey. He kept reciting the name of god and cleared all the hurdles.

Next day, the teacher had to go on the same route. When he reached a deep drain, he doubted whether god would save him or not. The teacher got drowned.

Thus, doubt drowns you and faith saves you.
